Receiving a grand total of 864,838 votes, which was more than twice as many as the runner-up and a record for the show's Live Grand Final. Gary has been featured in the video, CD, and book for Stars in Their Eyes and has even represented the United Kingdom on the European version of the show. Gary's solo performances after his TV experience were met with huge critical acclaim, and the positive response from the audience prompted him to form his band The Works and release the album One Night of Queen the following year. Since then, One Night of Queen has grown into one of the most successful touring acts in the country. For the past five years, they have maintained an annual average of over 150 performances across multiple countries.
