This act has been touring since 1986 and four decades into their career, they still continue to rock out at major venues across the world. This summer, they will spread love across 40 plus cities, including a coveted stop in Saratoga, California. The show at the Mountain Winery is going to be intimate but also a blast. Having the venue light up with titles like “I’m Alive,” “Brighter Day,” and “Life is Better With You,” among others is a stupendous experience. ABOUT MICHAEL FRANTI & SPEARHEAD

Michael Franti, a yoga fanatic and an activist by day, but a soulrocker by heart. The singer-songwriter from San Francisco, California began his career fronting the Beatnigs. Eventually he founded Michael Franti & Spearhead, a band that cannot be boxed into one genre. The group performs a multitude of music styles, including rap, hip-hop, jazz, funk, reggae, and more. Franti, being a multi racial descent uses his eclectic love for music to deliver his message – love, peace, and social justice. The band made great strides at home and beyond, finding success in Europe during the early 90s. In the mid 2000s, Michael Franti & Spearhead made their breakthrough in the U.S. when their 2006 album, Yellfire entered the Billboard 200 followed by 2008’s All Rebel Rockers, which entered the top 40. But long before that, the band has been a household name in the touring scene, garnering a massive and loyal following, which Franti now calls the Soulrockers. Welcome to the Family indeed.
