This last year or two has been nothing but impressive for The Common Kings. Though they got their start back in 2011, they’ve blown up in popularity for their eclectic flows and expansive soundscapes in the post-pandemic concert scene, and their list of high profile concerts for this next year just confirms that. From the Spring to the Winter time, the crew will be hitting spots like the Reggae Rise Up Festival in Arizona, Holo Holo Music Festival in Vegas, The L.A. County Fair, California Roots Festival, and of course - a weekend here in Saratoga right at The Winery on September 26th and 27th. It’s shocking that the boys even have any more open and free weekends between their West coast touring and recording schedule, but we’re not complaining! And we’re so ready to see them live once again. They came to The Winery last autumn in October on their Hideaway Tour with Fia and Western Conference and brought the house down - so we expect that same energy this time around too!
The Common Kings formed in Orange County but all have Hawaiian and Samoan roots ingrained in their artistry - and their name comes from the pride they share in their heritage, and their royal bloodlines that all of the boys share amongst their respective cultures. They are technically rooted in reggae sounds as a genre, but have evolved their instrumentation and musical soundscapes to touch into rap, rock, and soulful melodies as well. After their first two EPs saw staying power on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard’s Reggae charts, the boys began touring with music royalty - including opening for stars like Bruno Mars, Cee-Lo Green, Fifth Harmony, and Meghan Trainor. They have toured all across the world, and now - are able to lead tours and festival appearances as they please like the kings they are. And we’re so happy to have them back for another weekend of fun once again.
So - are you ready to rock and roll, are you ready to reggae and soul?! Good - we were hoping for that. These rockstar dudes have been selling out tours since the 2010s, so you know it’s going to be a good one - don’t miss out, and let’s get ready to groove! Grab your tickets right now, and we’ll see you soon!
