For Air Supply, all of it began in ’75, and now over 45 years later, their music is still capturing the ears and hearts of listeners. Their first big hit, ‘Lost In Love’, was titled song of the year in 1980 and sold over 10 million copies. The release of this track, and its continuing influence over music, has been tributed by its title being given to their extended tour this year. The tour is to celebrate the roots of Air Supply’s success, the determination to remain true to their sound being recognized and revelled in. Over the course of their years as a band they have had 7 consecutive Top-Five singles, the same as the Beatles, and their ‘Lost In Love’, ‘The One That You Love’ and ‘Now And Forever’ albums, along with their ‘The Greatest Hits’, sold over 20 million copies. Their 2005 studio release, ‘The Singer And The Sound’ was a stripped-back composition of their greatest hits, with just Graham on acoustic guitar and his vocals mixing with Hitchcock’s. The album has become iconic and received critical acclaim, proving the musical talent and prowess they have. They have also recently released a live album where they recorded some of their most beloved tracks with the Prague Symphony Orchestra in the Czech Republic. The album gives a fresh yet classically beautiful re-vamp to their music with the accompaniment of the orchestra, further showing how their trademark sound is unique and touching. With their recent influx of live recording and achieving over 45 years of success as a band, they wanted to treat fans to their music and live performances. Make sure you experience that for yourself. You will be captivated by Hitchcock’s soaring tenor voice and harmony with Russell, whilst the simple yet magnificent compositions of Russell’s music ring throughout the amphitheatre and soar into the sky. Not only are they famous for their unique style, but also for their on-stage chemistry and partnership. Make sure you book your tickets now – you will definitely get lost in love with Air Supply on their The Get Lost In Love Tour.
