This October on Friday the 17th, Ziggy Marley and Burning Spear, the current kings of Reggae and rejuvenation, are coming right here to Mountain Winery - and we need you here for the finest reggae session this town has seen!

All of us here at Mountain Winery, one of the premier venues of northern California and a staple of Saratoga valley, are so excited to welcome Ziggy Marley and The Burning Spear to our venue for a night of music, friends, and the perfect glass of wine to solidify the vibes. Hitting the town on Friday October 17th, Ziggy and The Spear will be hitting over twenty stops on their 2025 Do The Reggae Tour - including The Wolf Trap in Vienna Vermont, The Dome in Virginia Beach, Pier 17 in NYC, Chicago’s Salt Shed, Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, and of course - right here at Mountain Winery up in the Santa Clara mountains.
If you love reggae and you know your music IQ, then you absolutely have heard of Ziggy Marley and the massive legacy that rests upon his shoulders. Son #1 of the legendary musician Bob Marley, Ziggy was born in Jamaica and from the get go took up the family business of creating music and reggae infused sounds for large audiences and crowds. He got his start before he even hit double digits, creating the band Ziggy Marley And The Melody Makers with his younger siblings before they could even legally drive. The band gained massive appeal worldwide - they performed as openers for their dad on many occasions, released eight albums and won GRAMMYS, and sang at their father’s funeral back in 1891, The band also made the theme song to the popular show Arthur, and above all they focused on positive messages and lyrics that became a staple of Ziggy’s music all the way up to the current day.
And as Ziggy hit’s 60 years old, he’s more determined than ever to continue giving us some of the most positive music in the game right now - filled with the love his father instilled in him, and of course - just all around good music. Speaking on the tour, Marley ssid “It is an honor and a privilege for me personally to announce this upcoming tour. Burning Spear is one of our great fathers and I cannot say how much I am looking forward to sharing time with him,” he wrote on Instagram. “This is a blessing a once in a lifetime experience for me.
